HIGHLIGHTS/PRESENTATION: TIC Council & EUIPO joint webinar on non-conform imported PPE’s, medical devices and fake certificates

On 28 May, the TIC Council hosted a webinar focusing on ‘Non-conform imported PPE’s, medical devices and fake certificates’

The webinar, titled ‘Non-conform imported PPE’s, medical devices and fake certificates’, focused on the collaborative efforts which Intergovernmental organisations and TIC Members are conducting to halt the worldwide proliferation of products bearing counterfeit certification marks during the fight against COVID-19. The webinar had high-level panellists representing European institutional and law enforcement agencies consisting of EUIPO, the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), Europol and TIC sector representatives. The presentations addressed the essential methods and best practices of how to identify counterfeit products and certification marks, whilst also informing attendees on how to correctly notify authorities to ultimately erase this issue.

As TIC Council continues to provide thought-provoking presentations on current market trends and needs, watch this space for the list of upcoming webinars.
