Brussels, 1 September 2026 — TIC Council, the global association representing the independent Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Florian Anderhuber as its new Director General, effective 1 September 2026.

Dr. Anderhuber succeeds Hanane Taidi, who is stepping down after leading the association through a period of sustained growth in its global membership and influence. During her tenure, Ms Taidi strengthened TIC Council's global profile and expanded its engagement with policymakers, regulators and international stakeholders.

Prior to joining TIC Council, Dr. Anderhuber served as Deputy Director General of Euromines, the European association representing the mining industry and headed Aurubis’ External Affairs office in Brussels. Over his career, he has built a strong track record in European public affairs and advocacy, working at the intersection of business, policy and innovation to help organisations navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. He brings extensive experience building coalitions with regulators, policymakers and civil society on issues spanning industrial competitiveness, sustainability, trade and the green transition.

Stefan Haas, President of TIC Council: "Florian brings exactly the blend of policy expertise and strategic leadership our industry needs at this juncture. As conformity assessment moves ever higher up the political agenda, his experience building coalitions across business, policymakers and civil society will be a tremendous asset to our members and to the industry's voice on the global stage."

"On behalf of the TIC Council Board, I would also like to thank Hanane Taidi for her dedicated leadership and the significant contribution she has made to the association and our industry."

Florian Anderhuber, incoming Director General of TIC Council, said:“I am honoured to take on the role of Director General of the TIC Council. Together with our members and partners across the TIC industry, we will strengthen the sector’s voice and advocacy in pursuit of our shared vision: upholding best practices and the highest standards to foster a trusted, innovative and sustainable sector that creates lasting value for society and the economy. I am grateful to Hanane Taidi for her dedication to our industry and I look forward to building on her remarkable achievements and carrying this important work forward.”

As Director General, Dr. Anderhuber will lead TIC Council's strategic engagement with governments, regulators, international organisations and industry stakeholders worldwide, advancing the role of independent conformity assessment in supporting safe, sustainable and competitive global markets.
