TIC Council

China

The TIC Council attaches great importance to the growing TIC industry in China and keeps regular dialogues with local governments at different levels. The establishment of the China office in December 2021 in Shanghai strenghtens the connection between members and public authorities, as well as among each other.

The management teams of TIC Council member organizations collectively form the China Regional Steering Committee (RSC) and currently oversees six specialized working groups: Commodities; Product Testing and Certification; Digitalization; ESG; Advocacy; Communications.

The TIC Council brings together more than 100 member-companies and organizations from around the world and are present in over 160 countries. The 23 global members with their presence in China include: Alfred H Knight; Amspec; Applus; BSI Group; Bureau Veritas; China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC); Cotecna; Centre Testing International Group (CTI); DEKRA; HQTS; Intertek; Kiwa; Leon Inspection; NSF; Qima; Rina; SGS; Sunchine Inspection; TÜV Austria; TÜV Nord; TÜV Rheinland; TÜV SÜD; UL Solutions. Several other domestic organizations are currently in the process of applying for membership.

Thanks to the expertise and competence of its members, TIC China aims to promote best practices in safety, quality, health, ethics and sustainability and improve the high-quality development of the TIC industry in China.

White Paper on China Consumer IoT Devices
The white paper focuses on the development of consumer IoT devices in China and the opportunities and challenges of the industry, from the perspectives of market size, application scenarios, market driving forces, related security challenges, regulations and standards. It also provides normative suggestions from the perspective of third-party certification organizations, aiming to fully leverage the positive role of third-party certification in consumer IoT device security and help promote the healthy development of the consumer IoT device market in China.
