The examinations are not open to individual inspectors, but inspectors who are a member of an TIC Council member or a non-TIC Council registered company.
Examinations for all global examinations may be scheduled at any time during the year except between 1 and 31 August as well as 24 December - 2 January.
The exams are taken via the test centre provider PearsonVue. They have test centres in several cities throughout the world. You will find test centres near you by visiting this website and clicking on the "find a test centre" button: https://home.pearsonvue.com/ifia
If you do not find a test centre near your town, please contact exams@tic-council.org.
Certificate copies are re-issued for a fee of €50 per certificate. To avoid paying this fee, we recommend contacting your previous branch manager who should have a copy on record.

The IFIA agricultural and petroleum certification examinations are open only to TIC Council members and non-TIC Council companies registered with the program. If you would like to register your company to the TIC Council IFIA programme, you will need to complete the registration process, an overview of which is available here:

The process takes roughly 1 month and costs 600€ (non-refundable). It includes the provision of 3 references attesting to your companies services in independent third party inspection of either crude oil / petroleum product bulk cargo (Petroleum Inspector Certification) OR animal, marine and vegetable oils and fats (Agricultural Superintendents Certification) bulk cargo for custody transfer purposes.
Examination results and certificates are issued in the beginning of the month following your examination.
