With the deadline for manufacturers to meet cybersecurity requirements under the Radio Equipment Directive Delegated Act (RED-DA) just nine months away, the TIC Council is pleased to announce the publication of its latest Position Paper. The paper provides TIC Council's view on the scope of the RED-DA and the EN 18031 series, offering clarity to manufacturers on compliance strategies.
In the Position Paper, TIC Council highlights recommendations on proactive cybersecurity measures for manufacturers, providing guidance on risk assessment practices, documentation, and the importance of early compliance planning. This includes insights on the harmonisation process for the EN 18031 series and the role of Notified Bodies in conformity assessment, especially when harmonised standards are not applicable.
The Position Paper represents a collective perspective from TIC Council members and serves as a valuable resource* for industry stakeholders, conformity assessment bodies, and policymakers. It aims to support the secure and seamless integration of IoT devices into the EU market, ultimately fostering Digital Trust for European consumers.
