TIC Council is recruiting a Committee Secretary Intern to support the management of various TIC Council Sectorial Committees. The successful applicant will work closely with the Technical and Schemes team as well as the various experts within the member organisations. The internship position will run for six months, and a monthly allowance will be provided. Starting date: as soon as possible.

TIC Council is the association representing the Testing, Inspection and Certification sector worldwide with presence in Brussels, Washington DC, India and China. As the TIC Council membership covers more than 160 countries, the association has a truly global footprint.

Note: While this vacancy represents an excellent opportunity to work in an engaging and exciting sector, we would like to discourage applicants wishing to pursue a career within the realm of public affairs as it is not a focal point of this position.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Technical Team in managing various Committee tasks, including meeting planning and moderation, agenda drafting, and minute preparation
  • Support the management of internal projects and the implementation of committee initiatives, such as webinars, conferences, the development of technical and best practice documents, etc.
  • Provide support with event logistics, including promotion, registration tracking, venue organization, and post-event follow-up activities
  • Contribute to the creation of communication materials, including presentations, speaking points, and similar content
  • Assist other staff members with their tasks as needed

 

Profile

  • Fluency required in English (oral and written), any additional EU language is an asset
  • Preferred fields of study: Social Sciences, Economics or Business, Administration, Public Relations
  • Excellent writing, editing and oral communications skills
  • Very high attention to detail, organisational skills and positive problem-solving skills
  • Quick learner who can easily adapt to the fast-paced workplace
  • Positive attitude, flexible, enthusiastic, energetic, motivated, team-player
  • Work experience/internship in a relevant field is an asset
