Why this Summit matters
India has set itself the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, the centenary of its independence. This ambition is known as Viksit Bharat. Reaching it takes more than growth: it depends on products that are safe, services that can be trusted and supply chains that are transparent. Quality has moved up the national policy agenda accordingly.
Testing, inspection and certification underpins all of this. The sector's work is rarely visible, but it supports industrial competitiveness, trade, consumer protection and consistent regulation, in India and in the markets India trades with.
The TIC Summit India 2026 brings together senior leaders from across TIC Council’s global network, creating a unique opportunity to connect India’s evolving quality agenda with international perspectives. Their participation reflects the growing importance of India within global discussions on trade, manufacturing, technology, sustainability and quality infrastructure.
The centrepiece: Vision 2030, Unlocking India's Quality Dividend
The Summit will see the public launch of TIC Council India's new strategic publication, developed with Deloitte as knowledge partner. It draws on consultations with TIC Council members, government ministries, regulators and industry associations. It sets out the role the TIC sector can play in India's growth and quality infrastructure over the next decade, a key stage on the road to 2047.

Look back: 2024 and 2025
The inaugural edition set the direction. Dignitaries, industry leaders and policymakers gathered to discuss what it will take to support India's goal of a $30 trillion economy by 2047. A clear consensus emerged from the day: educational institutions, government bodies and industry have to move together if quality infrastructure is to keep pace with the country's development plans.
The second edition centred on the practical machinery of national development. Hanane Taidi, Director General of TIC Council, opened on the rising global demand for trusted assurance. Dr Michael Fübi, Chairman of TÜV Rheinland Group and President of TIC Council, delivered the keynote "Quality at the Crossroads," making the case for neutral, objective assessment at a moment when truth and assumption are easily confused.
TIC Council Global Board Meeting
The significance of the 2026 Summit is vastly amplified by a dual spike in strategic importance: the release of a landmark Vision Document and the convergence of international leadership.
On October 29, immediately following the Summit, the TIC Council’s Global Board will convene in New Delhi. Bringing the Council’s global leadership to India underscores the nation's pivotal and expanding role in international trade, advanced manufacturing, technology, and sustainable growth. Together, the Summit and Global Board meeting create a rare, high-stakes forum to synthesise India’s national quality agenda with the strategic perspectives of global TIC leaders.
