TIC Council is presenting at the upcoming “U.S.-Brazil Conformity Assessment Workshop"

TIC Council is presenting at the upcoming U.S. - Brazil Conformity Assessment Workshop on September 22-23 2020.

The workshop will feature public and private sector speakers discussing various aspects of the U.S. and Brazilian conformity assessment systems. The aim of the workshop is to improve mutual understanding of U.S. and Brazilian standards, conformity assessment and regulatory systems as well as experiences concerning the acceptance of conformity assessment results in each other’s markets. The results of the workshop will be taken into account by both the Standards and Conformity Assessment Trade Related Issues workstream and Standards and Metrology working groups when developing the Action Plan 2020-2021 under the U.S.-Brazil Commercial Dialogue.

The workshop is being organized by The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Brazilian Ministry of Economy and National Institute of Metrology Standardization and Industrial Quality (INMETRO).
