TIC Council is pleased to announce that it has been approved as a Stakeholder Member in the IAAC.

The InterAmerican Accreditation Cooperation is the regional association of accreditation bodies and other organizations interested in conformity assessment in the Americas.

The IAAC was created in 1996, in Montevideo, Uruguay, and was incorporated in 2001 as a not-for-profit civil association according to Mexican law. Their mission is to promote cooperation amongst accreditation bodies and interested parties of the Americas, aiming at the development of conformity assessment structures to achieve the improvement of products, processes and services.

The IAAC represents its members in the Americas for the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Labarotory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and other relevant fora. As the peer organization in the Americas to the other regional accreditation cooperations, it maintains a close working relationship with APAC, ARAC, AFRAC, EA and SADCA.

TIC Council gladly accepts this recognition with our heartfelt thanks to the IAAC board members. Needless to say, this coveted honour is very significant to TIC Council in supporting our advocacy activities in the North and South Americas and aligns closely with our broader ambitions.
