TIC Council is pleased to announce the publication of the Field Inspection Safety Codes for the Metals and Minerals, and for the Agricultural and Vegetable Oils inspection markets, as part of our continuous effort to improve and safeguard the health and safety in the Industry.
These two new entries complement our Petroleum and Petrochemicals Field Inspection Safety Code, expanding it to cover the full range of the Commodities Inspection market.
Our Safety Codes have the clear goal of helping in reducing the inherent risks of independent inspection activities by defining and reinforcing safety behaviour and practices that both TIC Council Member Companies and third parties should follow to ensure that inspection work is carried out in a safe manner. These documents cover topics ranging from Personal Protective Equipment, Vessel Access, Flammability, Substances Hazardous to Health, and many other topics.
The Codes are living documents and will be reviewed on a regular basis as safety techniques, technology and the requirements of the work continue to develop.
