On 7 April 2020, TIC Council submitted comment to the National Institute of Standards and Technology on the NIST Guidance on Federal Conformity Assessment Activities, 15 CFR 287. TIC Council held discussion sessions and engaged with NIST and other stakeholders throughout 2019 to support NIST's role to guide US agencies' efforts to implement the guidance on federal agency use of conformity assessment activities and continue to advocate for reliance on the private sector where capabilities and capacity align with needs.
