TIC Council Welcomes New Regulation Preventing Plastic Pellet Losses
The advancements in e-commerce, trade and information sharing have all brought great benefits to the world's inter-connectivity. However, this unfortunately also coincides with a large increase in criminal activity capitalising on wide market accessibility. Recently, rogue operators have been known to innovate their methods and products to appeal to the rise in demand for products related to PPE and medical devices in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. These operators take full advantage of these complexities and circulate counterfeited or pirated products on the global market. TIC Council is fully committed to halting the worldwide proliferation of counterfeit products, which endanger public health and safety.
In order to fight this phenomenon, the TIC Council Anti-Counterfeiting Committee has published a White Paper focusing on those products which have falsified certification or testing documents, providing guidelines as to how to best identify these products and their circulators and what can be done once these are identified.
You can find the White Paper at this page.
